"I HAVE A DREAM" (50th ANNIVERSARY)

Today, millions of men and women in the United States are celebrating the 50th anniversary of a speech which changed the History of black people in North America. On August 28, 1963, the leader of the African-American Civil Rights Movement, Martin Luther King, proclaimed his dream: A society in which black people could live peacefully with white people.

The setting where the address took place was amazing: the Lincoln’s Memorial in Washington D.C. Here, you can watch the complete speech which takes sixteen minutes approximately:

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I have a dream today!”

Martin Luther King Jr. (1929 – 1968)
